Partnerships With The World’s Best Medical Experts

Developed with support from low-vision experts at prestigious vision institutions and grants from the National Eye Institute (NEI), IrisVision is the most medically-validated wearable low-vision aid available today.

Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is leading an effort to measure how effective IrisVision can assist low-vision patients to improve visual function.

Stanford University, in partnership with IrisVision is researching treatment for eye conditions such as glaucoma, strabismus, and convergence insufficiency. Stanford is developing algorithms and implementing training programs to attempt to restore their native vision.

UPMC is leading an effort to develop effective vision rehabilitation. It is also conducting an evaluation study on the effectiveness of IrisVision in improving patient visual function.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation’s leading sponsor of medical research. Its sub-division, the National Eye Institute (NEI), has awarded the Small Business Innovation Research grant for IrisVision to continue developing the technology and concurrently evaluate the effectiveness of the technology with large patient base.
